The Irish Angus Cattle Society 15th Elite Show & Sale took place at Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday 10th December. There was a lively trade throughout the bulls and heifer sections.

In the sale ring, the following headlines stand out, €10,000 for Lot 70 Carrowboy Untouchable ET bred by Alan Gibbons- Caggle, Strokestown Co. Roscommon. This heifer placed first in the senior heifer class 7 and continued on to win the senior heifer championship.
Meanwhile in the bull section Lot 3 Lavally Ultra bred by The Mullooly Family – Strokestown Co. Roscommon was awarded first place in its class. In addition, it continued in success to take Senior Bull Championship title. Lavally Ultra took joint top price of €8,200 alongside Lot 20 Drumcrow Urban Fire Bred by Margaret Mc Kiernan, Drumcrow, Corlismore, Co. Cavan
The export market held strong at sale time with a number of animals being exported to Northern Ireland, England & Scotland.
